CAS Technical Documentation
Finally Done! I am overjoyed to have successfully completed the CAS Technical Documentation at the ZHAW School of Applied Linguistics.
Not infrequently I am confronted with the following statements:
- The following technical documentation is sufficient for the EC declaration of conformity:
✓ Application of the relevant provisions (PrSG, EleG)
✓ Compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
✓ Risk assessment according to EN ISO 12100
✓ Compliance with harmonised standards
✓ Mark the machine
✓ Operating instructions
In fact, the technical documentation listed is sufficient to obtain an EC declaration of conformity.
- Is the explanation of the mode of operation, brief instructions, general description of the system/machine, etc. really necessary for the technical documentation during product development and placing on the market? That only costs a lot of money!
And yes, the second statement is also correct. It costs money... BUT:
- But what are the customer's needs? His know-how?
- Ever thought about what a quick guide can do for the customer?
- That clever instructions can encourage the customer to buy?
- The need for instructions for the customer, service personnel, users, etc.?
- Good terminology management can save a lot of costs?
These are just a few of the questions for which I will provide answers that will outshine the statement "It only costs a lot of money". The effect and benefit are incomparably higher and pay off. The benefits are incomparably higher and pay off.
